We convert your CDs into a library-quality collection unlike any other ripping company. Call us for more information at (650) 213-9300.
With over nine years of experience, ReadyToPlay is the leader when working with demanding high-profile clients including Hollywood stars, recording industry executives and performers, business leaders, sports celebrities and some of the biggest names in classical music.
- AMG metadata (artist, album, genre, etc) combined with other databases for clean library-quality data. THIS IS THE DATA THAT YOU SEE ON THE ITUNES STORE OR AT AMAZON.COM! IT HAS GREAT COVER ART, ACCURATE SPELLING AND CONSISTENCY. Your collection will have consistent genres, artist names and album titles all logically-organized. We leverage all available databases to extract all the best data possible.
- Deep Music Styles. THIS PROVIDES 'PANDORA LIKE' DATA TO BUILD COOL PLAYLISTS AND FIND YOUR MUSIC! We’re the first to include deep music styles within each genre for an even better description of your music. With CDs found in AMG, you can now search within iTunes and select only your “Arena Rock,” “British Metal,” “Ambient Pop” or “Psychedelic Pop.” For an example list of Rock styles, click here. Playback devices may limit the amount of deep data that is displayed, call us and we can advise you.
- The BEST Deep Classical Metadata in the industry . Classical genres are standard which include Chamber Music, Concerto, Symphonic, Opera, Orchestral, Keyboard, Choral and Classical. To see a list of the genres we use, click here. Artists are always the lead performer or conductor. Composer naming is first name, last name (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart). However, as good as our data is from AMG, other databases do not adhere to any standard - resulting in composers in the artist field, mislabeled CDs etc. As well, may classical CDs are re-releases of original works, so we may get the box set version or the original version. It is because of this, we may have to surcharge the per CD price for classical music to get it right. READ THIS ARTICLE: 'Why classical music is so hard to rip correctly'.
- Our DataGroom process includes 2 passes (one looking at the CD to verify and one pass in iTunes to see the whole collection). Datagroom fixes duplicate album naming, disc numbering, inconsistent spelling, etc.
- High-resolution artwork . We get 95-99% of all artwork for a typical rock/pop collection. When our databases do not yet have artwork, we search online and add it manually (images smaller than 150X150 are not added).
- Specialist review on every collection. Our engineers hand-certify each project and manually edit the metadata for consistency across the whole collection. This is the only way to ensure that your collection is clean and usable.
- We hand-enter CDs for live concert recordings, bootlegs, sermons or teaching archives (a surcharge applies). Bring us your Grateful Dead/Phish/Widespread Panic bootleg collections. We will hand enter the date and show venue, so the shows are sorted in chronological order by album.
- We support all formats. MP3, FLAC, Apple Lossless, WMA Lossless, AAC, WMA, AIFF and WAV. Get any single format for the same price or get a second additional format for a small incremental fee.
- No online ordering. Each customer is unique. We work with you to address your needs and concerns up front. Talk to a real person before you send your CD collection. Get the answers to your questions and make an intelligent, future-proof decision about your digital music needs.
- Secure ripping. First, we perform an error-free audio extraction from your CDs. Ripped files are compared against other known perfect conversions of the same disc for accuracy. If your CD is scratched and we can’t get a perfect extraction after cleaning and multiple tries, we’ll note it in a failure report.
If you have questions, feel free to call us at 650-213-9300 (9am-5pm PST). We'd love to walk you through the process of going digital. |
